This month, we’d like to introduce you to Carly Scott! In addition to her work as a swim instructor, Carly is a teacher at West Clay Elementary School. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her better.
Why did you start working for CSA?
I was looking for a second job that I could do after school hours. I wanted to work somewhere that I would enjoy and be flexible with hours.
How would you describe the culture at CSA?
CSA is very welcoming! I felt welcomed since the first day. CSA made sure I was comfortable with my training. They are always eager to help if I have any questions.
Why do you think swim lessons are important?
I think swim lessons are very important so all kids can be safe in the water. I have been swimming ever since I was in elementary school, and I want all kids to experience the joy of swimming like I did.
What do you like more about teaching/working at CSA?
I love teaching kids how to swim and develop correct stroke techniques. I love seeing kids grow and get stronger in the water. I love helping kids reach their goals and feel proud of themselves.
What made you want to work at CSA?
I teach in the Carmel school corporation. I love getting to see my students in a different environment. I feel like a part of the Carmel community getting to both teach at West Clay and CSA.
