This month, we’d like to introduce you to Angela Williams! As one of our Supervisors, you’ll find Angela wearing lots of hats at Carmel Swim Academy. She can frequently be found at our front desk and teaching our caregiver-child classes. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her better:

How did you start working for CSA?
“I am a former preschool teacher and had to step back from my job due to family obligations. I was looking for a part-time position where I could do something meaningful and that I enjoy while also having the necessary time to take care of my parents. CSA is a perfect fit!”

How would you describe CSA’s culture?
“To me, the culture at CSA is overwhelmingly positive and energizing! But, most importantly, I love that it’s inclusive and welcoming to everyone.”

Why do you think swim lessons are important?
“I firmly believe that learning to swim is an essential life/safety skill that is important for all ages. It makes me feel good that I’m helping my young students learn to be safe in and around the water and to develop a love for swimming.”

What do you like most about working at CSA?
“Seeing the joy and pride on the kids’ faces when they gain confidence or master a new skill is such a thrill for me! I’m so excited to be able to work with preschool-age children because they are so enthusiastic and fun to work with!”

What made you want to work at CSA?
“My daughter was a former CSC swimmer and swam for IU, so I’ve been around the pool for a long time! I remember back when CSA was just a vision, and it’s awesome to be now able to work here! Additionally, pool time was such a big deal for my kids growing up, and I think it’s so fun to be able to share the love of the water with my students!”
