Free Swim Lessons at CSA

Swimming makes us happy. And Safe. Swim lessons reduce the risk of drowning by 88% and make communities safer, which is exactly what Carmel Swim Academy has set out to do. A core component of our work is to ensure that cost is not a barrier to learning how to swim. If a child grows up in a household with annual income of $50,000 or less, there is a 79% chance that child will not receive swim lessons. CSA’s Free Swim Lesson program provides scholarships to central Indiana children who are experiencing financial hardship to participate in lessons at the Carmel Swim Academy at no cost. Any child who is on their school’s free/reduced lunch program (or who has a sibling in that program if the swimmer in question is not school age) or in a family receiving county utility assistance is eligible for this program. When we opened the doors to CSA in July 2023, we set a goal for our Free Swim Lesson program to encompass 10% of our total enrollment by August 31, 2028. We have prouidly grown this program steadily, with the generous support of individual donors and grantors. Thank you for your support.
