There is planned facility maintenance at the CSA pool, which will have an impact on our programs starting Monday, October 12, 2026 and running through early-to-mid-November. Part of this maintenance involves draining the pool to repaint it. We are fortunate to be able to offer our programming in an alternate location during this temporary closure to ensure the swimmers in your household can maintain their momentum in the pool. As part of the larger Carmel Swim Club organization, we have access to the Carmel High School Natatorium complex. We have plans in place to lift and shift as many of our programs to the CHS pools as possible. The good news is that we have successfully moved programs to this location before: we have offered swim lessons here during past closures and host lap swim here on Sundays. The even better news is that THIS shift is planned, and we can work with you over the coming weeks to ensure you know exactly what to expect. Here are some key impacts we’d like you to be aware of:
- Swim Lessons
- We will offer a full slate of group swim lessons, caregiver-child classes, and Junior Swim League as planned for the Fall 2 Session, but all at Carmel High School.
- The schedule will be released, as usual, Thursday, September 24.
- Registration will open for these classes on Monday, September 28.
- You will receive the traditional email reminders at those times.
- On weekdays, classes will be offered between 4:45 and 8:15 PM to align with the Carmel High School schedule. We will have weekend morning/early afternoon classes, too.
- Swim lessons will be offered in the lanes of the main pools of CHS (very similar to the lanes at CSA!) as well as the warmer-water therapy pool and diving well.
- Carmel Swim Club is hosting a meet November 6-8, which will inhibit our ability to offer lessons those days. Affected classes will be automatically prorated at check-out to not be charged for lessons on meet days.
- We will offer a full slate of group swim lessons, caregiver-child classes, and Junior Swim League as planned for the Fall 2 Session, but all at Carmel High School.
- Community Swim
- Community lap swim will be available throughout the closure at the Carmel High School Natatorium on Saturdays between 12:30 and 3 PM, and on Sundays between 8 AM and 2 PM. No lap swim will be offered on November 7 or 8 due to the Carmel Swim Club-hosted meet.
- We recognize this is a much more limited offering than what we can typically provide, as such, monthly memberships during the closure will be pro-rated to $20 for adults and $15 for seniors/youth.
- If you have an active punch pass, we will extend their expiration by the length of the closure to ensure you have fair opportunity to utilize your purchased visits.
- Water Exercise
- We are delighted to share that we were able to add one water exercise class to the schedule at Carmel High School while we navigate this transition! Lena will teach Aqua S’wet on Monday afternoons from 4:45-5:35 PM.
- Active punch passes will have their expiration extended by the length of the closure to ensure you have fair opportunity to utilize your purchased classes.
We understand this move comes with a different customer experience than what we can offer at the CSA facility. We are committed to making this short-term switch as seamless as possible for every swimmer. In the weeks ahead, you can expect to hear from us with detailed information about how to get onto campus, where to park, what doors to utilize to enter the pool, how to watch classes, and where to change. What you can expect to remain unchanged is the excellent instruction, lowest student:teacher ratios in the community, and outstanding and enjoyable class your swimmers will receive. We appreciate your patience during this short interval of necessary facility work. This temporary closure will ensure that the CSA pool remains a safe, healthy, and clean place for your family to swim long-term. We are excited for the opportunity to continue our programs in a different location for this short time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
