A common question we get at the Carmel Swim Academy… where do I watch my child’s swim lesson? When you have a swimmer in the water for lessons, you are welcome to watch their class from either our elevated mezzanine viewing area or the accessible windows in the lobby on the first floor.
For the safety of all families and program participants, parents/caregivers are not permitted to stay on the pool deck for the duration of the lesson. Of course, participants in our caregiver-child swim lessons ARE welcome on the pool deck and in the pool during those classes. If you’re watching from the mezzanine, we have rows of chairs in front of the windows where you can see the entire pool, or built-in counters and tables where you can get some work done.
You are always welcome to walk students to and from their class area, and to come on to the pool deck to assist in bringing them to the restroom. We welcome you to come onto the pool deck as the class wraps up so you can talk with the instructor about your child’s progress and ask any questions you have. We appreciate your help in adhering to this policy and keeping all Carmel Swim Academy program participants safe!
