This month, we’d like to introduce you to Josia Dixon! Josia is one of our Carmel Swim Academy instructors. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her better.
Why did you start working for CSA?
I wanted to do something that felt like it would make a difference in my life and others’ lives.
How would you describe the culture at CSA?
I would say, overall, the environment at CSA is community-based, with a want to help people be safe and learn to swim.
Why do you think swim lessons are important?
“I learned to swim when I was two. I believe that knowing how to be safe around water and learning to swim helps make a safer community. It is an extremely important life skill and formal swim lessons can help reduce the risk of drowning by 88%.”
What do you like most about working at CSA?
I love communicating with kids and their parents and helping them learn something new. It is so rewarding to me and hopefully them as well!
