This month, we’d like to introduce you to Madi Putt! Madi is about to start her senior year at Indiana University where she studies Criminal Justice. She works at CSA as a swim instructor, and we asked her a few questions so you could get to know Madi better.
How did you start working with the Carmel Swim Academy?
“I swam competitively for most of my life and after I stopped, I wanted to also help kids learn how to swim. Swimming has always been important to me, and I wanted to share my knowledge with others so they could learn just like I did when I was younger.”
How would you describe the culture at Carmel Swim Academy?
“The culture at CSA is very welcoming and professional. I appreciate how everyone takes water safety seriously, but they are also able to have fun at the same time. Everyone is friendly and it always makes coming to CSA enjoyable.”
Why do you think swim lessons are important?
“I think swim lessons are extremely important, regardless of wanting to swim competitively or learn basic skills. Swimming is a lifesaving skill, and I think it is essential that everyone can do it.”
What do you like most about working at CSA?
“I really enjoy teaching swim lessons at CSA because it is rewarding to see how much each child grows and improves with each lesson. CSA fosters a positive environment for kids to learn how to swim and it is fulfilling to see them accomplish this.”
What made you want to work at the Carmel Swim Academy?
“I wanted to work at CSA because I appreciate their focus on both safety and skill development. From the first day I started working here, everyone welcomed me with kindness, and I knew it would be a great experience.”
