This month, we’d like to introduce you to Conner Lowe! Conner is currently a Pre-Med/Kinesiology student at Indiana University and lifeguards with us at the Carmel Swim Academy. We asked him a few questions so you could get to know Conner better.
How did you start working with the Carmel Swim Academy?
“I started working for CSA because I used to coach a swim team, and then the pool shut down. I wanted to stay around pools and my dad recommended this due to the fact that we’ve always been in close relation to the swim club.”
How would you describe the culture at Carmel Swim Academy?
“The culture is very friendly. It’s like a little family type of community. Everyone is great and usually pretty hard working. It’s also not too serious as we can all make jokes and have fun still!”
Even though you are not in the water, what is your favorite part about Carmel Swim Academy lessons?”
“I just enjoy being helpful. It’s nice to benefit other people while at my job. Usually they give a smile and a thanks which makes me feel like I did something worthwhile with my day!”
What do you like most about working at CSA?
“Definitely the people, it’s nice to have people around who I can see as friends rather than just weird coworkers. I’ve always loved that aspect!”
